Results of My Field Tests
I have tested both the Garmin inReach Mini and the Somewear Global Hotspot many times here in Colorado, and even though I like the Somewear Global Hotspot, there really is no comparing these two satellite communicators.
The Garmin inReach Mini and now the Mini 2 have much more power in functions when using the device by itself and also when synced to your smartphone.
At the time I created this video comparison, the inReach Mini was my favorite satellite messenger, however, since the Garmin Mini 2 came out, it has replaced the Mini as my new favorite satellite communicator.
I always try to be fair when comparing these devices, but I will always be honest with my personal opinions here on Hiking Emergency Beacon.
