How to create a Course, Navigate & TracBack with the Garmin inReach Mini 2 and the Explore App
Create the Course with the Explore App
It’s really simple to create a course with the Explore App. Select the (+) icon at the top left of the map screen, then select CREATE COURSE. Now, select a point at the beginning of your trail and one at the end, as long as there is a trail for the Explore App to follow. Now select SAVE.
Next, you can RENAME the course and change the color. After renaming the course, select GO.
The Explore App will now ask you what device you want to navigate by if you have multiple devices, such as a satellite communicator and a Garmin watch. ENABLING TRACKING is up to you, but is something I always choose, so my family and friends can see where I am on my adventure.
Here are some images of what the Explore App looked like on my hike this morning.
Now, it’s time to TracBack. You will have to use your Garmin inReach Mini 2 for this part.
Select NAVIGATE, then TRACBACK, then select GO.
