Is There More to Know About These?
The Garmin Explorer+ is being discontinued. It is still supported by Garmin but is not sold any longer on the Garmin site.
There is no clear information on how long Garmin will continue supporting the Explorer+ but it is absolutely being phased out.
A Garmin technical support representative told me that Garmin recommends the GPSMAP 66i for anyone who wants something similar to the Garmin Explorer+
