These are both great satellite communicators and will allow you to get help in a life-threatening emergency, however, the Garmin GPSMAP 67i has a lot more functions and is a true standalone device. I do my best to not pick one satellite messenger over another, but the GPSMAP 67i is worth the extra money and time if you need to save up some money to buy it.
