Private/Public Land Boundaries
The first thing I saw from the HuntView Pro maps is the more detailed information provided by the land owners.
I have been on several outdoor adventures lately where it was hard to tell what was private or public lands as we were remote camping and not near any campground.
The first time this happened was on a fishing trip in the Eleven Mile Canyon. You can see here and in an area close by, the issues with private/public boundaries.
It was confusing in this area when we saw some people camping in an area where there was a lot of private property.
The next area we noticed the same issue was on a fishing trip to the Miramonte Reservoir in Southwest Colorado. There is a lot private land intermixed with public lands as you’ll see in these next photos.
Final Thoughts
Initially I was shocked at the cost of these maps as they cost around $90 per state, but after seeing the additional detail that the Garmin HuntView Pro maps, I have no problem with the cost of the maps.
I recommend you take a closer look at what the HuntView Pro maps offer and the additional detail they come with.
